Pay-per-click (PPC) management firm Jellyfish was founded as Avondale IT in the United Kingdom by Paul Walsh, at a time when PPC advertising was brand-new. At the time, the company focused solely on paid search advertising. The company rebranded as Jellyfish in 2005, and within the first decade of its existence it was employing over 80 people across the world with a turnover of nearly $40 million. These days, Jellyfish offers more than just PPC services; it is also a place for clients to request search engine optimization (SEO), social media strategy, display advertising, website design and development, web analytics, email marketing, and even digital marketing training services. Jellyfish's clients have included Nestle, Carfax, ForRent.com, Skype, Pfizer, and Electronic Arts. In addition to its headquarters in Surrey, Jellyfish has another UK office in Brighton, plus offices in Durban, South Africa and four outposts in the United States (Baltimore, MD; Reston, VA; San Francisco, CA; and New York, NY).
